Tabletop Tavern is a roguelike RTS where you build an army from scratch and command them across a brutal campaign. Recruit diverse units, create devastating synergies, and make tactical choices that shape the fate of every run.

Real time tactical battles: From small skirmishes to massive clashes between hundreds of units, every encounter tests your instincts. Lock down cavalry with disciplined spear walls, reposition your archers from flanking maneuvers, and turn the terrain itself into a weapon.
Roguelite Campaign: Recruit new units between battles, hunt down rare gear, and unlock upgrades that permanently reshape your strategy. With scaling difficulty, random encounters, and dozens of heroes and factions to discover, every run carves its own story.
A roster of distinct factions, each with their own playstyle: Field the elite infantry of the Vikings, the brute force of Orc trolls and giants, agile and flashy Elves, stalwart Humans, resilient Dwarves, and more.
A "one more run" loop built for short sessions: Designed by a Total War fan who wanted shorter, high-intensity runs after work. A full campaign fits into the time you actually have.

Background

Tabletop Tavern is heavily inspired by my love of Total War and my crippling addiction to Roguelikes. I have always loved the battle mechanics and army building of Total War, but I wanted to fit that into an experience where I can sit down after work and play a complete session as opposed to have campaigns that last weeks.

I’m a self taught game dev who started learning game dev back in 2020 during the pandemic and never looked back! I’ve always been obsessed with Total War’s army-building and tactical battles, but I craved a roguelike twist. A game where I could dive into a short session after work and feel the rush of a complete, satisfying run. Tabletop Tavern is that dream brought to life.
